Individually tailored Personal Care
Dorset Lodge has built a reputation for over 20 years in providing the very best in personal care. Our qualified and experienced care team deliver this personal care with privacy, dignity and love. Each tailored care program recognises the residents individual needs and wants in all areas of the residents health and well being.
If required, the following personal care services are available: 24hr (stand up) personal care, showering, dressing, personal grooming, incontinence management, mobility assistance, medication administering and management, bed making and changing, laundering of linen and personal clothing, cleaning and maintenance of individual suites and the entire facility
Food and Nutrition
We understand the importance of quality food. Fresh, nutritious meals are a feature of Dorset Lodge. The central commercial kitchen prepares and serves our meals, which are cooked fresh daily by our in-house qualified Chef’s.
The extensive menu is designed by a trained food nutritionist with experience in geriatric dietary requirements. The meals are varying with the freshest seasonal ingredients used. We cater for any dietary requirement and offer alternative main meals. All main meals are provided aswell as morning tea, afternoon tea and supper. We also provide pre-dinner drinks served during our happy hour on Fridays.
Allied Health Professionals
Dorset Lodge manages the provision of allied health professionals as required by the resident and family. We can arrange regular in-house visits for the following services:
Doctors, Chemists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrist, Massage Therapists, Hairdressers and Beauticians.
Arranging these various appointments and maintaining regular health checks can be difficult and time consuming. This important service allows ease of access to your choice of health professional without the problems.
Leisure and lifestyle
We have an extensive daily lifestyle program that’s encourage participation in a range of activities including competitive games, arts and crafts, card-playing, gardening and bus tours. All of our activities are at the pace of the individual, without undue pressure.
